Scary stuff. My sister went in for pre-op tests for a "simple stint" and was told she would NOT be going home that day & would be having a quad-by the next day instead.
She did fine, as will you.
Modern medicine is nothing short of miraculous.

Take your recovery easy and when you feel like you can get back to the norm, give it another week.

To equate your healing to something you may have some experience in already.
Think of it like sanding a knife, more work in the lower grits makes the finish faster and easier on you in the long run.

Be strong, stay safe and heal up quickly.

Have a good surgery and speedy recovery. As an EMT, I'm happy that they caught the issue before you suffered a heart attack. Bypass surgery of any kind is better than an AMI.
