Major ZT 0551 knife porn with some comparisons at the bottom

Holy Jebus on a Pogo Stick! That's a lot of pics!

Fantastic pictures of a great looking knife. Thanks for sharing!

Great pictures!! It's funny; I have #285 and agree with you 100%. This is an awesome knife and will get lots of carry time.

Looks like every other ZT knife, why the big deal?

Really? I don't think it does at all. Most of the ZT knives have a recurve and this one doesn't at all. It's a pretty big deal because of the collaboration between ZT and Rick Hinderer. This is the first knife they've done together.

That's definitely a Hinderer design

I like it

i dont own one of these personally, and it looks AMAZING, but in a lot of the photos im seeing it looks like some of the G10 is not flush with the frame, is this the case or is it just the angle of the pictures? ive seen it now in about half a dozen pictures.

The close up shots are unfair to the knife. And the 45 degree grind on the G10 makes if hard to see the real F&F. To the naked eye, the G10 is 99.9% flush to the liner. It's insignificant when you are actually holding the knife and doesn't appear poorly fit whatsoever.

This particular 0551 is so nice I'm holding off carrying it until my two others arrive so I can choose the first one to carry of the three.

i assumed it was over exaterated in the photos, makes sense that such a high quality knife wouldnt have such a huge detail over looked.

Agreed and thus, I will have three when the last two get here because they are so nice and limited availability. So that alone demonstrates how much I like this knife ;) I want to make sure I have one for years to come.

I'm a huge advocate. The 4" is my favorite of the two. It carries somewhat smaller than it physically is (ala Military) and it just feels so good in your hand. It just fits me really well. The action on these knives is in the upper tier of knife actions. Both of mine just want to fly open once the detent is defeated.

I also don't hear many talk about how well the 0551 feels in hand. I realized tonight that the fit is really perfect. When holding it, it just coalesces with your hand. It's very well done.

Sweet Pics! Are those the 4" and 3.5" Hogue's? How do you like them?

Good to hear. I may have to pic up a 4".
PS I just went to Blade HQ and picked up a Kirby L Shockwave. Thanks for the post.
