Makaira Metalworks S.P.S 2 ---- Stainless Pack Stove and WildWood I Backpack Stove

Well after thinking about it more I am not going to get one of those right now. Maybe in the future I will give one a try. I have settled on something a little different. Its called a Purcell Trench Grill. Figured I would just give one of those a try. I like the packers grill and travelers grill.

Here a link to there site.

I found this great looking grill set someone had left in the bush........ I don't know how much they would cost at an outdoor gear store.... probably alot..... these kind of things don't grow on trees, you know. I call it "the green log grill and warming rack" system............ I can see them becoming very "poplar".... :p

Purcell Trench Grills are a great product, I've been a customer for many years. The owner is a true American Patriot and great small businessman. I highly recommend his products, having used 3 of the different designs in the past 10 years. If you slide one against the interior of a frameless pack it stiffens it up quite nicely too. Extremely durable and always ready to use when you need it. It's defintely old school camping and bushcraft to use the Purcell vs a stove.

A great little stove is the Bush Buddy made in Canada. It does take some bit of continous feeding while burning; but if you're holed up due to weather that's sort of the entertainment IME.
