Has anyone tried the new Maker's 46? I picked up a bottle today, and it is now in the queue-of-enjoyment after the Ridgemont Reserve 1792 I am currently working on finishes evaporating.

Good to know. The Ridgemont Reserve 1792 is evaporating nicely, and should be gone in a few short days. My "creativity-inducing spirits" glass is helping with the evaporation process, probably more so than the evaporation process itself. I am looking forward to opening the Maker's 46.

Oh, and I just polished off another bottle of Buffalo Trace White Dog Mash #1 (125 Proof), which is a concurrent offering at Chez Lunde (San Jose, California branch).

Is that a Mark IX Hawk in the background? :D

Loved the show and had to do a search for the name of the ship. I don't remember seeing the episode it was in but it was a show I watched all the time. A friend of mine had the toy of the Eagle and it was cool, at least it was then.

Thanks for sharing and congrats on the score :D

Sorry I can't comment on the Makers, don't drink anymore so I haven't had the chance to try it.

I haven't had a chance to try the 46 yet but I'm looking forward to it soon, very soon. ;)

On the subject of "Space 1999" - I loved that show! I had most of the toys including the large plastic Eagle with the action figures, a couple of the diecast/plastic Eagles (Dinky?), sidearm, etc. Cool score!

I opened the Maker's 46 bottle a week or so ago, and it is already empty. The glass I am currently enjoying, as I write this, is the last of it.

The good news is that I bought three more bottles, which are in reserve.

The regular Maker's Mark didn't do much for me, but the Maker's 46 is quite good. It is definitely worth a try. I found a local place that sells it for a little over $30 a bottle.

So...does that mean we will not see here for another 3 weeks?

On the contrary, I seem to do better when enjoying bourbon.

I may open one of my ORVW 12 Year "Lot B" bottles. I think I still have eight or nine bottles of that one.

And, I still have nine bottles of Ridgemont Reserve "1792" on hand.

Yes, life can be good. :D

1. What a terrible series. Ugh did I hate that one. I'd rather watch Quark. LOL (I was 8. It was slow and old to me. Leave me alone!)

2. If you keep the cap on, it won't evaporate. ;)

Hmmmm...I'm just getting into bourbon from cognac, still have a lot of stuff to try, I'm seem to be stuck on Bulleit so far, and can't move on.

But it sounds like you got a bar there that any establishment would be jealous off.

Very nice.

I remember watching the show. I went to ABC today and they had the 46.

Its purdy darn good too. Thanks Ken:thumbup:

Opus One! Great stuff. My wife and I enjoyed a 2006 bottle earlier this year. I think I paid a little over $150 for the bottle.
