So I got my etcher working, so it's time to design a makers mark and make some stencils. Tell me what you think. Thanks a lot for looking, and any comments or critiqe are welcomed and appreciated! :)

Thanks.

Looks great to me, Ive been strugging on what my mark should be for the last week so I can try and order some stencils.

I'm really picky about things like that (and everything else, lol), but that one looks very good. It's very professional looking for sure.

DAMMIT! i thought this was a thread on burbon... well now that i'm here, i'll leave you my 2c. it does have appeal, but how well does it shrink down? first glance it appears to me that it may get a little busy if it was small enough to fit a ricasso, but i like the overall look.

The geometry looks good. What Rusty said about how will it look downsized is a good point.

Ones own name should be how you are known in the knife industry unless you are a manufacturer, We all know Gerber or Buck; but you are not a manufacturer you are an individual maker.

If you are marketing your knives at shows or on forums, people will understand your knives are hand made, its not needed on the blade surface. I think people will look at this makers mark and ask "whats that inside the triangle?

Try putting your name inside the triangle in a visually attractive manner. In this way when someone picks up one of your fine blades, he will check out the makers mark and know who you are.
When I first started 15 years ago I had a big long logo; now its a small circle with a pine tree and rising sun with my name under.

Just my 2 cents, Fred

I was thinking the same thing. I think for the smaller knives I might have to remove the hand made part. Thanks for your feedback guys and I'm glad you like it!

I see "Knives Hand Made" D,C,L with a scroll in the middle, upon closer look I can make out D and an L but don't see an C.

If when shrunk down the letters in the corners disappear the script in the center would be undecipherable to me.

Another confusion is who is "elo147" and "D. C. L. knives"

I should take my own advice and change "markb" to Mark Behnke like my knives are marked.

Follow the great ones, use your name.

Ok, I'm planning on changing my name Username:)
And there is no c in the middle... So should I just put my name or initials on my knives?
