hello I'm new to selling my knives and was wondering an easy way to have a professional logo? I'm trying to work with Ernie but am not having any luck with him working with me to get the logo I want. Anyone have any other referrals? The logo I want is a small picture of the State of Maine and to the right of it almost the same height spell my last name Nelson. Any help would be appreciated for a lead to a stencil! Thanks.

Marking Methods makes great logos, but you're going to PAY.. IMO over priced and charges like $20+ to ship a reg $0.42 envelope. I won't be using them again. Only issue I have is their prices. I learned this the hard way. When i need to order more I'll be looking around. I made some comments on a thread some months back but can't find it and others made some good recommendations.

You need two separate things:
1. Someone (a graphic artist) to create your art in digital format.
2. Someone (a stencil maker) to make a stencil based on your art file.

I also use IMG for #2.

Another vote for IMG. I had issues with the others and IMG will work with you on the design. There may be a design fee but I think its only $20 or $30 and afterwards you can call up and get the same stencil made in any size pretty cheap. They also sell a pack of etching electrolyte with three bottles of different formulas for everything from stainless to copper and one bottle of neutralizer called a knife makers pack, I forget the price but its reasonable.

I can't say enough good things about them!

I met the owner of IMG last fall at KnifeDogs hammer-in and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. I will be using him from now on. I have had good luck with Ernie too, mostly
