So I have decided that Im going to do a different makers mark this year. I might do a new one each year or every couple of years so people will know when their knife was made. I need some ideas!!! I really like the spine stamps but if you ever want to blue, take blueing off, square the spine etc you will take the stamp off. Here are a couple ideas that I have, it will be different font of course.

. . . I thought it was going to be an "alcohol related" review to start the new year . . . :D :D
( really need to get to bed )
Be safe.

I like C.Bowden
If you put it on the spine towards the rear of the handle, Squaring the spine will not affect it.

Ok, green tea worked, eyes are open. JUST1MOR household thinks the KFU/USA should be the 2012 "Maker's Mark" . . . . :)
Be safe.

I like Kfu~usa or Kfu~tn.. I to thought this was going to be a thread about liquer.

I like KFU/USA.

It kind of jumped off the list at me when I was reading them all.

this.
and, instead of doing it as a spine stamp, why not as a belly stamp on the handle? won't mess with grip, and in no danger of being ground off during a spine squaring. Either that or right in front of the scales on the side of the blade like Buck does.

I like KFU/USA or KFU*USA

Stump

eta: C. BOWDEN on the spine centered over the handle ould be cool too!!!

Alright, its KFU/USA!
Now I have to come up with a font. I like the looks of the Resident Evil font or something classic looking. Ill have to look around tonight. Anyone have a favorite font

Arial Bold is nice and clean for the spine, and I'm sure I'll be ecstatic with whatever you decide on the KFU/USA part!!!

It's something about Ariel Bold that just makes it look even more classy and professional. Simple = professional

Yeah, I like the sound of KFU USA. I think spine stamps are great, which is what drew my attention to Backwoods. However, I see what you mean about modifications taking them right off.

Ill try and download Ariel Bold, Halvetica, and Georgia fonts tonight and post them up. AI think I like Georgia the best. I like spine stamps as well but I dont know if it wouldturn out that well if I blued the spin. I guess it should work since its actually etching into the steel. Ill try one of my current stamps tonight on blued steel and see how it looks. I guess I can order it to fit on 1/8L steel andif it doesnt work I can put it on the blade.

Great idea Jack! Where is Warrior and his fancy design program when you need him!
