Making a custom knife out of a "China knock-off"?

I'm on tight budget as so many other these days. So i decided to make a custom knife out of a China knock-off trailmaster. Should i go forward posting the tread or is it immoral?

So are going to be pimping the knock off or just using it for a pattern. I see no problem with the later.

Just my opinion, but the immoral part was in handing the company money for someone elses work. What you do with it after that is irrelevant so long as you aren't trying to resell it as an original.

I come here to see, read about and discuss original work, good or bad. Sometimes its fun to see an old knife rehabilitated, but the customization of a modern knife (stolen design or not), No.

It's your knife, do to/with it what you want.
As far as posting, do what you want, we'll look or won't look.
In other word's, as long as you observe forum rules go for it.
