Making a Mask for an Axe - Final.

Great mask for a great ax. You did a great job. I like the rivets you used. I've been trying the hollow rivets where the setter splits the rivet and curls it back to the leather and have had a heck of a time with them bending over.
 
Bo - What works for me is the method I use on the snaps in this tutorial.

You want to help them flare initially before you begin to set them. To this end - put your setter on the tube and begin to lightly tap it - moving the setting tool in a circle around the tube in the attempt to help it flare. Check on it - and see if that is happening. ONce you have a good even flare - you can go more straight down with your hammer strikes.
