Making a recurve straight

I know that sharpening a recurve requires a different method of sharpening but i was wondering. If a knife has a small recurve could i make it straight by continously sharpening it on a flat stone but not on the corner.
Im referencing the schf3n which has the tiniest recurve ive ever seen

Yes, you can. I have thought that preferentially sharpening the edge closest to the handle a bit will help the process along.

I also have a worksharp i dont know if that helps maybe the abrasive belt would work better

Just use a bench stone. It will turn out better. It is a minor tweak of the edge, not a major regrind.
I've done this with a SOG Bluto. It is an easy task.

Personally I would grind 90* into the edge to remove the recurve then sharpen as you say, on a flat stone. This way you won't be really wearing the corners of your stone and also you will have a fresh flat to work from instead of messing around w/ trying to get the recurve sharp but yet not sharpening it... lol

This was done on paper wheels by Richard J. I installed the invisible thumbstuds.
