Not sure. My friend Dave bought it at KMart

On that hike he brought a bunch of cookware.

I have a 6" little skillet but I got it in one of those truck sales where they pull up and sell tools and stuff. I'm thinking his was like 8" diam

I was wondering about using sourdough starter. I have this old sourdough that was started a couple of hundred years or so ago that has been living in my refrigerator for the last 3 years.

Though I haven’t tried any of the Bannock I’ll give it a go. I do make bread and biscuits with it and I’m a fair hand with the Dutch oven.

Thanks HD. I am looking into getting something like that. I will have to look at these truck sales too lol we have them come through our area too.

Thanks again for getting back to me.

Bryan

YUM! I tried this for the first time today - No recipe or measurement, just winging it. Flour, baking powder, salt and water. I fried it in butter on the stove in a nonstick skillet. Delicious. Next time Ill make it with cinnamon and sugar.

I have wanted to make bannock my entire life and never had, until I read this thread. Thank you very much to the OP and all who have posted.

Thanks for the invite. Have to work. It never ends at the hospital. That really looks like a continental bush breakfast. Lots of energy for the rest of the day. Keep posting on your outdoor cooking. What is that tortilla looking plate? Looks like it folds up. Regards

Flix that is a good idea I am going to add some cinnimon too. I add sugar already and normally dreid cranberries but I think some cinnimon sounds so good to.
I have not had breakfast yet this friday morning lol. I know what I am going to make now though lol.

Loosearrow, You know Work sure spoils alot of fun lol. Maybe next time though.

I think Hollow dweller has them Light my fire plastic cook ware. I have not tried any of it yet. Maybe someday I will though lol.

Take care all,

Bryan

Right on the cookware. It was Hollow Dweller's post. Losing track. Tortilla might not be bad, eat your plate. Maybe make a flimsy wax paper plate and wipe it off on the grass, twist it up and save it for tinder for the next fire. Hey, if you dropped your food, no worries, it's cold outside. Actually it really wouldn't matter to me, growing up we would pinch the mold off the bread and eat it. Not anymore. I'm now all grown up. Regards.
