• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Making Cordage: Splicing Technique (video)

That´s a good clip. That is an easy way to splice. I can see working that way with yucca or sisal. I understood what you were saying about it before but the video makes it very clear. The finger rolling technique I use is very different than what he shows in the video. I have tried to make cordage like that and it feels like carpel tunnel for me.
My technique is more like thigh rolling with just your fingers.

If you watch someone who is really good at thigh rolling cordage you see that for each complete movement of the cycle they get about 6 - 8 twists in the cord. That is definetely the way to go but it is hard to master. I'm not there yet. Mac
