I wish to publicly explain, and apologize, to those involved for my deliquency of the past few weeks. I had been in the hospital from December 29, 2000 until January 13, 2001.

I have not been able to return calls or email, or to follow up on deliveries, at all.

To those of you I owe product, and or money, I will contact you very soon to make you whole.

I offer this post to you as explanation, and not as an excuse. I also wish to express my profound regret and apology, but cannot find the words.

If you have any patience left, it would come in handy right about now.

Here we are 3 months later and still no knife or further word from this guy.

Sent my last email follow up to him and this will be my last reply here to clarify his previous anti-propaganda attempt with 'this' post.

Note his post here which was copied from 'Community' stating it was a mistake due to illness etc.

After 3 months there has been no resolution to this matter and last email contact was 1 month ago.

This matter has NOT been resolved nor any attempt made. There were initially three BFC Members (that I was aware of that is) that were involved with dealings from Sam Wereb and I have heard of no resolution with their problems either.

If I receive the knife or a full refund of my money sometime in the future I will post here. Otherwise, this is the unfortunate end of it all.

Had to be a first time, I guess, and I'm certainly thankful it was only $23.50.

I also haven't heard anything else from him. I will let you all know if I do. I will admit that I have pretty much calked this up as a loss. I ordered two so he got me for $50. I guess I had better stick with the dealers that I trust.

You know, its pretty bad when ya screw somebody like that. These guys put trust in you and all they wanted was the knives they ordered. You have really abused the faith they put in you. Not only did you cheat them, you then came here and said it was all a run of bad times for you. They very generously (sp?) tried to be understanding and what did you do? You shafted them again. You have really insulted these guys, and probably suckered them into actually feeling sorry for you the first time around. C'mon now, dont you even feel the least bit guilty? Do you really want to destroy your honor over a few 20 dollar knives? I would be willing to bet that you are reading these posts and choosing to bot respond. I think these guys deserve an explanation and a REAL effort from you to make it right.

Dennis and Shawn, I hope you get some satisfaction from him. You guys are to be commended for being as patient as you have been. Good luck with this.

Now, dont get the feeling that I am in any way defending the guy, but does anybody even know if he is still alive? Nobody has heard from him since January, when he said he was in the hospital. Maybe he had a turn for the worse. ???

Danbo, I certainly hope thats not the case. I have been following these threads since they were posted. Considering Sams pattern of blatant lies, its easy to see how anything he says can be considered simply another lie. He seems to have told folk around Christmas that he had arclites in stock and ready for delivery. The kicker is, the arclite had not been shipped from Camillus yet to anybody. He had none to ship, and he knew it...in fact, nobody had them yet.

Thats the problem with liars, if they ever do tell the truth, you never know when that is.

Just a side note... The Ebay user "werebknives@yahoo.com" is no longer registered and has no feedback.
 
I searched all of werebs posts. Im concinced, the guy is a lying, cheating SOB.

He followed posts around of people wanting arclites. He would tell them he had some...25 of each as a matter of fact (25 plain, 25 serrated). Mike Turber called him on it, Will Fennell even said in one of werebs threads that at the time Camillus had shipped NONE. Even after that Sam continued bilking peoples money. What a loser.

I got both of mine in the mail today. It was really a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting to get them. I am glad that he made good in the end.

WOW! That's an incredible turn of events! I had gone so far as to involve both the Post Office and the BBB of his town and was kindly referred to the Attorney General's Office by both as they could get no results.

I have not received any blades nor contact to date and truly, like Dennis, did not expect to.

Wife had the blade in her car when she came home. I did receive as everyone else my blade with no other information included.
