Do any of you have a system you could share how to make your handle shape repeatable so it can be done on several knives?
Thanks for looking.

Develop a procedure that you use every time when shaping. step 1, taper and hollow to create the palm swell. step 2, knock of the sides at an angle....etc...I like to keep everything angular until i have the rough shape that I'm after. That way it's easy to compare the lines from side to side. Then you can round the corners to smooth it out. Then, once you get your steps formalized, you can easily repeat them. At least that's what works for me. And use the contact wheel like Marko3 was saying. I don't know what shape you're after but the loveless video and SR Johnson sub-hilt videos are gold...

Many makers make a metal template for cutting out handle blanks so all start the same size. Then they make profile templates of the top and bottom shape to use in shaping the handle. As tmerkl said, practice and repeating the shaping steps the same every time is also the key.

Thanks guys. I have a handle shape I would like to use on several projects and thought the template was the way to go. The best I could come up with was a template for the side and one for the bottom. Thought maybe you guys might have a better idea. Very helpful, thanks and best wishes.
