Making Micarta?

Anyone ever make their own micarta? I've been toying with the idea of layering some denim and glue.

There are several people on the forum that do. It can be fun to do and some of the people here make great looking stuff. As always I will add the comment use epoxy! Did you have any specific questions?

Types of epoxy that work best? Should the material be clamped or pressured together in anyway while drying? Should the material be soaked in the epoxy? Should the material have a certain thickness or thinness? How easy is drilling? How about shaping? Grits of sandpaper?

Lot's of questions. I'll check the newbie thread in the mean time.
