Had a little time to mess around with the "Leaf Blade" knife...... still in the developement stages.... haven't decided on handle yet ... cordwrapped for cutting tests.... Differentially heat treated, full convex grind.:jerkit:

Cha'll think?

Ya I know..... no guard... but that's how I like it.;)

That's a really cool looking blade, good work! Just looks very useful and 'to the point' :D. I'd not mind having that blade style as a user even a little bit.

What's the thickness? Comfy in the hand? Please do take some shots when you put it to use.

Ooh, I like that! A little big for my taste, but I like the shape of it.

P.S. Guards are for noobs.

Great design. I like the blade shape a lot, looks like the perfects woods tool.

I like gaurds, they come in handy sometimes. Many people use them, I would not consider a gaurd for "noobs".
Just a little jest, note the smilie. Guards are one of those things that comes down to personal preference. Personally I don't like them, they get in the way, and I have no use for them, but others really like them, and wouldn't use a knife without one. There's really no right or wrong when it comes to this topic and I understand that, just having a little fun with you guard guys.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

The blade is 3/16" thk and it was diff. heat treated with the spine scraped clean of clay.... this way the face of the spine is hardend so I can use it with my flint for fire lighting. This is going to be a hard working knife so I wanted something with a little weight to chop but not overly bulky. i think it will perform nicely.... I'll definately post some pics of it in use.

Nice knife. What type of steel? Sheath?

I usually use Nicholson files W2, but I got some O1 recently and gave it a go.

Oh, and I learned the hard way not to water quench O1... lol.

I make my own leather sheaths but I might seek the help of Eric(Normark) on a kydex/leather hybrid. Or maybe I should try my hand at wood?

Still undecided.

I think that it a very good looking blade. It looks like something i could be used out in the wilderness for anything. I dont know but i can realy see a nice handle made from wood. A sheath from wood..... That would fit that blade the best i think you should do it. Please do post the pics when you are done.

Great design. Clean and simple. Thrower? It looks like you could stick it if it came to it.
