I took apart my buck 110 with S30V steel about a year ago and I am think about putting it back together with titanium liners and g-10 scales. Im thinking about riveting the the titanium liners, lock bar, and spring assembly with 1/8 brass. On top of the liners goes the orange g-10 with recesses drilled out to accommodate the rivet heads. THere arent gonna be any bolsters, just the g-10 running the entire length of the liners. I guess im keeping the traditional build method using rivets but modernizing the handle material.

I was also wondering if you guys think .04" thick titanium will handle the stress from the spring. If need be, i have enough titanium to double up on both liners.

Any suggestions would be greatly accepted! Sorry for the metric, this caliper is the most accurate one I have!

0.04 should be thick enough for the liners, but I would not go any thinner. The problem you may face is keeping everything flat enough to apply your handles after the frame is assembled and keeping the blade centered. A little thicker would help on both accounts.
