making of birch bark handled puukko

i got hand forged silversteel puuko blade from a friend,and i have some some birch bark in drawer,just needed brass pieces sorted out

lot of patience and filing to get snug fit

Dremel was indispensable in preparing birch bark

birch bark with geographic origin,lightly scented with smoke from Etna

after some time under special knife clamp,something like this

roughly shaped with knife and rasp

then smoothed with sandpaper

removed piece of antler(handle was bit too long)and finally peened tang..now just to finish sheath...

Finally,sheath is soaked in beeswax and that's it.

Nice piece. Who forged the blade? Don't see many with sharpening choils.

How strong is that style of belt loop attachment? Any problems with the leather coming out of the holes? Or did you use glue?
