For several days I've been making a bunch of sheaths. Anyway I needed to take a break from the leather and worked on these two knives. The bottom knife is an order. The top one I'm just making. Both have forged 5160 blades. The bottom one has an osage orange handle and wagon wheel wrought iron fittings. The blade is just over 8". Now I have two more sheaths to make. :D

Will I get to see these finished in Eugene next month Ray? Are you forging there again?

Bruce, Most likely I'll have the top knife in Eugene. I want to finish the top one and then I need to get back to making sheaths. Once I have the sheath made for the order I'll send it off. I won't be forging at the show this year. I gave them notice last year that I was going to stop doing the demo. To much wear and tare on the oldman doing the loading and unloading by himself. I need a blow up anvil. :D

Ray you got a room in Eugene I think I might tow down the 59 shasta and stay in the parking lot. see you soon.

Dave, I hope you bring some heat with you. I still need to get a room. I'll be staying at one of the Motel 6's.

I got the stag handled knife about done now. I'll epoxy it tomorrow.

I actually got the sheath made for the stag handled knife. I make a very un fancy sheath to go with my un fancy knives. I'll take few pictures later today.

Here a couple sheaths I just finished up. Both knives are finished. The blackwood handled one has been hanging out in the garage for the last couple years after I failed at my first sheath attempt for it. My webmaster saw it hanging in my shop a few months ago and said how much he liked it so I asked if he wanted it and he said yes. He'll be up to the northwest in May and will pick it up then.

LOL, I'm saving that last picture to my hard drive right now!

I like the blackwood too, put that on a trailing point hunter and I'll have to drive to Oregon and pick it up!
