Making the Switch: Boker Any Good?

Check out a Queen Mountain Man, great folder. I prefer the Arbolito fixed blades, I don't know if they make folders. Don't limit yourself to current knives, there are a lot of good older Boker folders out there. I had a large Boker barlow a couple years ago, great knife.

The description in the knife you link to says "Boker U.S.A."
i cannot make out tang stamping even with enlarged picture.
is this knife made in USA(like the old Boker USA knives) or Germany ?
if Germany why is that not stated in listing ?
the old Boker USA knives are not particularly special knives and certainly not up to Boker Germany.

My advice is to choose a model with carbon steel blades if you intend to carry and use the knife. The carbon blades will provide better performance overall. You may also want to look at the Cinch knives. These are made by Boker in Germany with better materials and better fit and finish than the regular traditional line.

Overall, Boker knives are excellent and very popular.

I agree about the Boker backsprings, a little wimpy compared to say a Victorinox or a Case. If you don't mind the 'softer' springs then Boker is a good bang for the buck.
