  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Making Up

Wash with soap and water. Dry. Lubricate with mineral oil.

Mineral oil is a great idea. Tuf Cloth just changes the flavor too much!! I'd still have to ditch the coating before I use it on food consistently. That's just me though.

Great idea to calm the wife down! Myself, I just try to hide my secret purchases harder! BTW, that steak looks nice and rare just the way I like it!

Im glad that it worked out! I think we need to collect all of this threads in one place! You know, "Moves on how to get you out of the doghouse from knife trouble" sort of thing. I think its going to be useful.

I use the same oil that I use on my Jon Boos cutting board. I suspect that it is mineral oil based but since it is recommended for cutting boards it is food safe.
