I dont get the point of these wooden knives. Are they for sale, display?
Any actual use?

The wood blades are for solo training, domos ,controlled paired practice, display and gifts.

I have seen more people injure themselve solo training with live blade then I have paired live blade. A newbee starts training, buys a new knife, and thinks because he's just cutting his line attacks in the air alone he is safe. He starts snapping thru his combo strikes and makes the blunder of dragging the blade across his arm or punches it thru his check hand.

A live blade is a bad dog and sometimes bad dogs bite. These were disigned as a step down from live blade . Solo practice after awhile can be hard to push yourself to do and even more so when you are cutting your lines with a faom wrapped ducked taped Pvc lolli pop. But when you pick up one of these blades you want to move it.

They come with sharp points and rounded edges you can round the point to your oun liking with alittle sandpaper. plus they are not big money and lets you train with any design blade you want .I'm lucky living with Nok if I want to work bowie I've got the trainer, want parang got it, F2 dagger, folder size, tanto.
If you Like that $700 custom you just saw on the net ,you can get one that looks just like it to train with for small change. As an instructor I use my trainers waymore then my live blade and having ones that look and feel like you want to drive them home is great. I' ve also got allot hanging on the walls and coffee tables and when I go to train with someone special in the knife world it's nice to bring one as a gift. AMOK! Randy

Sorry can't tell you the name of the wood. Nok goes to the local lumber yard and picks out the grain she would like to see in the blade she's making. I can tell you the stuff is hard as nails. My Thai still sucks and Noks english isn't that strong and the lumber guy doen't speak a lick of english so getting the english name of things can be tuff. I'm lucky they understand that we need wood. LOL

I've always had a thing for white handles on blades. This is one I.ve kept for my personal collection.
