Nara had trouble with a landslide or something on his farm and had to divert his efforts to saving the hillside rather than making khukuris. I am not sure when he will get back to his forge.
They kamis are having great difficulty making the thin khukuris -- not because they cannot do it but because the thin khukuris are in direct opposition to their philosophy of "thin blades bend and break, thick ones do not." But they are still working on it.
