Malla and Thamar curve Spine Khukuri for 8/08

Very useful info on the handles, size L gloves are a bit tight burbs never considered my hands to be large. Still, my handle is a bit cramped.

Thank you Yangdu for the exceptional Malla. I cut down a 10" tree with virtually no effort. My first Himalayan Imports knife and the only brand that I will ever buy.

I am pleased the malla found its master. +1 bawanna( all my posts should end this way)

Yes welcome...and Conan the Barbarian just so happens to be one of the greatest 80's flix ever made lol...

Thank you all so very much! These knives and swords appear to me to be among the very best in the world. Conan movies were very cool, but even better were the original robert e. howard books about Conan. When Conan was in the east he carried a long knife. I am pretty sure it was a khukuri.

I've heard about the books of Conan, I must get one this weekend. I have Conan the Barbarian on dvr and watch it a couple times a month. I know it word for word and it is what got me into the "riddle of steel" ever since I was a child. Conan the Destroyer the 2nd movie was just a mess...way to Hollywood and not enough rawness...

Can you recommend a good first Conan book, I know there are several books in the series.

main reason I know about conan's author is because of HP Lovecraft and Howard's connection-- I am pretty sure that anything written by howard is "conan" but so many authors took up the story as howard died at the age of 30. I have never read any of howard's material, but I know its rocking.

and yeah conan the destroyer was absolute crap-- conan the barbarian is a masterwork of cinema! but I am not sure of any good "sword and sorcery" books or movies other than the first conan. ( i guess game of thrones could be sword and sorcery type stuff)

and the riddle of steel is this, as told by thulsa doom himself ! : The riddle of steel is the flesh that wields it.

Oh yes... I am well aware of the answer to the riddle of steel but that doesn't stop me from having my own "riddle of steel". I have been slowing but surely maturing in my blade collecting. I think there is more than one answer to the riddle of steel.

IMHO... Flesh isn't the answer, flesh is just a vessel for the soul... flesh itself is weak. Flesh was Thulsa Doom's answer, but to me the "human soul" is the answer to the riddle.

Remember what Yoda said "Luminous beings we are, not this crude matter".

So my answer to the riddle of steel is... My soul

When are they going to invent a real light saber? I anxiously await muahahahah.

I spent much of junior high hunting down the original REH conan stories-they were all out of print. They and CJ Cherryh's Gate trilogy were what got me started.
