Hi Guys,

The postie just dropped of the Malla 'blem' by Durba which had a small handle imperfection that Bill posted late last week. Now I have examined this thing in detail & the only thing I can spot is a small (about 7mm long) mark/scratch on the left side of the brass bolster, not that I'm complaining but, Bill, did you send the right knife? ;)

As usual the workmanship is first-rate fit, finish and construction of the knife & scabbard are beautiful. This is my first Durba & I can see why he has gained such a following. All the other khuk's I have I'm quite happy to use, this one though, I just can't bear the thought - it will end up as a display item - The jewel in my collection, if you will.

Thanks again Bill, magnificent piece of work as usual.

Andre

Thanks for update, Andre. Service going down under is not so bad.

As you observed, there's an imperfection. There was something about that knife that kept it from being perfect. As mentioned before, if it's not perfect it goes into the blem box. If it's a serious blem it goes into the giveaway box (which is empty right now -- several have emailed about the giveaways and there are none to give away right now.)

But we are very pleased you had a tough time finding the blem and are happy with the knife.

I wonder if some of HI and The Sarki Shop's "blems" wouldn't be some of the other source's 1st line... :) I have been totally satisfied with the quality of every khuk that I have purchased from both Uncle Bill and Terry - "ya gets what ya pays for and THEN some!":)

PS from TS - Ain't those Durbas sweet!
