This is a nice group of 4 sets. Premium Siberian Mammoth Ivory scales with the natural bark still on. Like I said in the other threads, these can be used like stag for a really nice look.

The first 3 sets are, 3.5" long, 1.125 wide and the forth is just under this size.

Can't buy any more right now, but I did have a question. How do you shore up the little splits and cracks on the ends of the scales? I haven't used any of the scales yet, but I am planning to take a couple of Sooper Dooper Don Hanson ivory handled knives with me to the Belgian show in November. I figured I will have enough confidence to actually use some of the stuff by them. It shore is purty...lol I am slightly color blind so that if these new scales look that green to me, they must be neon green in real life

Joe, these are brown, no greens or blues here but very nice stuff.

I use super glue (the really thin stuff), from Pop's or Zap-a-Gap from K&G. I fill all cracks when I receive any fossil ivory and fill as needed when I'm working it. Most all mammoth bark as cracks and I've had good results with super glue for many years.

Thank you sir. The stuff i got from you clearly has blue in it because my old blind eyes can see it. If you sand off the surface, do you get that blue/white look?

Joe, yes, when you sand off the outer bark, it will reveal the colors. But take it easy, the color will be deep in some areas and shallow in others. This is what gives ya the mix of color and white, every piece will look different.
