Mammoth ivory bark weighs one pound and 6 ounces. 10 inches long x 3 ¾ at the widest and 3 inches at the narrowest. 1 inch at the thicket end and just over ½ at the thinnest end. Good colors all the way through. Looks like a hint of blue and more may show up when cut. I did not cut scales from this, wondering if the end user would prefer to cut it how they want (and save money). I have used filler on the back in cracks to help stabilize it Outer layer looks solid and uniform. Flat back, One good trued up edge. Thinking it is possible to split this in half and get two pieces ¼ thick. If so, possible to get 4 sets of scales 5 inches long x ½ wide. $360.

Best way to buy this is to go to my web site and use the pay pal shop cart. This ivory is at the bottom of the page. Or email me. Lay away possible. Shipping $10 by priority mail in the US.

Hello Stacy
Well I admit for some reason my pictures disappear, jump around, go between sites. I’ve asked if this is normal or why it happens. I have a picture of the barge line on one item for sale. I give up! Left that picture there. I assume no one thinks the barge is for sale. But… these pictures look fine (so far) it’s a single piece of ivory not a set. I forget now, may have cut a set of scales from this same tusk that look just like this except for the scale. This is 10 inches long, not 5 inches. And over a pound, not a couple of ounces. Hoped my hand for perspective shows the size it is – again it may well make 4 sets of large scales. Anyhow. I try to keep checking and fixing the pictures. Miles
