Here is a hunter i forged from a billet of 1084/15n20. I polished off the oxides to give it a different look, the dark area at the ricasso is from where i soft drew the tang. (etches differently)
The scales are from a fossilized mammoth rib i bought a couple years ago, and finally got aroung to using. The knife is about 3/16'' at the ricasso and the tang tapers to less than 1/8'' at the butt of the handle... this one got a real warm feeling to it and feels great in hand.
Overall length is 9'' with about 4 3/8'' actual cutting edge.
