Bill - is that a crack in mammoth bark at center pin? If so, how bad do you consider crack?

I am going to say its just marking in the bark.
I cannot catch it with my fingernail, its as smooth as the rest.
The Bark and Tooth are stabilized..

Remember, this is the outer layer of the Mammoth tusks.

If you can't feel with fingernail then I'm happy with that. I understand that natural materials can always have some natural cosmetic irregularities.
I missed out on the mammoth tooth at KCR. You were quicker & luckier than me on that one. Have been hoping that I'd see it up for sale.
