I spent this past weekend at a slip joint school taught by Bill Ruple and Rusty Preston. One of the points they made clear was to pay attention to getting the spring flush in the open, half stop and closed positions.

Ian, another very fine knife ! i like the 3 3/4" Trapper i got from you even more as time goes by. i recently obtained a Bill Ruple Harness Jack. the file work, jigged bone scales, and overall 'feel' of the Ruple and yours are very similar. i also have a 2 blade Rusty Preston Trapper. the overall quality and pleasure of ownership of all 3 are quite comparable and are my 3 favorites of all my custom folders.
i'm sure whomever buys this one will be similarly impressed and pleased.

Very nice knife. Could you give the closed length? Many of us here can only get a good feel of the "pocket feel" by knowing the closed length.

Cheers.

Man you guys that make these folders are absolutely amazing. I have not ever tried it but i could only assume it takes a great del of time and patience. I guess using a mill helps ( if you have one). I must say that i will be putting many more years getting comfortable with fixed blades but my endeavor is to make fine folders like yall. --unreal--thanks marekz

Ivan,
I just acquired a beautiful stag handled wharnecliffe slip joint with beautiful roman knot file work that you created.....Very impressed with your work and look forward to adding more to my collection!
