It is a great pattern! I also have a Buck import in stag, waiting for them to bring them back to the US.

Also, looking at the ones by Canal St.
 
i just got a black stag colt. the f&f is excellent. and was only 19.95 us shipped. u gotts get one. imho its quality rivals case. blade steel tested out at 57rc on my buddies machine at work.[he is an aerospace machinest for lockhed martin] skip the titanium coating and go with plain polished steel.
 
Look at Canal Street Cutlery. They have a very nice cannitler (canoe whittler). I'm planning to snag one of those in the not too distant future.

EJ - OP is looking for inexpensive canoe, pretty sure the Canal Street falls outside the scope of consideration.
 
I'm not so sure about that. I may know something you do not. But check his post #15 which is what I am replying to.

I am wanting to get one of those Colt canoes just out of curiosity. They look good in pictures.

Ed - I stand corrected. Also - I've recently obtained a couple of those CS canittlers and do like them.

I got hooked in pattern though. Feels good in hands. Pen blade and spear point ( I'm huge fan of spear point, I like them better than clip points ). Currently I don't have money to buy myself a Canoe, not even Rough Rider one.

Canoes where my favorite before I ever saw or touched one. When I decided to start buying knives, eveytime I looked at them, my eye ALWAYS went to the canoe's. I have bought others, but I always go back to canoes. Recently I fell in love with them even more. I have a number of them, not a ton, but I will just post a pic of my favorite. I was able to buy a stag, which I use to not like, but now I do.

Yeah, I don't have atm any funds to buy Canoe. I PM'ed you. I don't feel right to take anything free so check my offer for trade :)

my 10yo daughter[who is sitting here next to me] decided i should send u a canoe to have.i have a green bone rr for u just send me an adress. no need for trades as it can afford to replace it now that ive found a job. but my colts and my case are staying in the usa. it has been sharpened on paper wheels and will shave hair.

May I be so bold to suggest a Queen Canoe in D2
The main blade on the Queen is significantly thicker in the bolster, but is differencially ground to come to a thinner blade
This make for a very stout working blade with a lot of 'meat' in the bolster

The secondary pen is very thin and make a wicked cutter

I had one of these beauties, and gave it away to my best friend to try to indoctrinate him into carrying a knife. He said that he does not even feel it in his pocket. If this does not convert him, nothing will. I miss it, but I am glad I gifted this one, special friend, special knife.
