I'm not complaining because I love my job but I need to get out in the woods and take a break. The groundhogs are out now so I may have to grab the TC Encore in 22 250 and take a day this week and do some long range shooting.:D:thumbup:

Do it! I don't know squat about knife making, but I know its draining physically and mentally. Maybe when you come back, I will be ready to order my PSK! :D

Have fun.

Man, I haven't been able to play with the 22.250 in years. I dream at night (and during the day) of being able to get out.
Have Fun!!! Enjoy life to the fullest!

Scott..i recently just left everything in the shop where it was and got it a little R&R rifle Relaxation!! guess what brother..everything was still there when i got back..and i felt like working on it..go get em..if your shootin is anything like your knife making..i wouldnt want to be a groundhog..later bro ..Luke

Longest shot I made with a 22 250 was 450 yds on a groundhog. Winchester 40 grain hollowpoints are screamers.

R&R :D

We usually call it Recoil Therapy but whatever you call it, a day behind the rifle/shotgun/handgun beats work most days.

Go outside. Take your .22-250, shoot a groundhog, post a photo. We're going to hold you accountable. We want proof. Mac

I'd love to go on a varmint hunt, great cure for the springtime angst.

This year is probably the worst cabin fever I've had in many, many years. I can't wait to get out into the dirt for a while this summer. I'm excited to try out a lot of new gear and start trying to use a tarp vs. a tent more.

It's supposed to be in the 70's Thurs. I made plans with my hunting buddy to go over to the farm. Last time I was over there was for a crow hunt in early March. Talk about a great time. Crow hunting is a blast, literally. :D

Ever tried the Hornady V-Max in 40 grain? That's another screamer! I have been shooting an old 788 in .22-250 since high school. Doesn't look like much but sub MOA is common with Hornady bullets....

I've seen them Mark. I've used Nosler Ballistic tips in the past.

My farm cats are running around chasing Whistle pigs this time of year here. A few weeks ago I looked out my window and saw something go by out of the corner of my eye. I look again and there goes a cat, and another, and another a minute later? Ok, I gotta see what these 3 are up to! I made it to the front door to see the flabby old whistle pig making for all it was worth with the 3 year old cats trailing about 15 ft behind it. gave me a good chuckle, went back in to work.. Amazingly, sometimes when you shoot one you can't find the entrance hole of the bullet, and it could take a few to drop the biggest of them. Enjoy!
