Man Vs. Wild/Bear's knife-good or bad?

Or a guy who, at the time, was the youngest Brit to climb Everest and who has also passed SAS Selection, one of the toughest SF courses in the world and one used as a model by many other countries.

But I agree the knife is overpriced.

The guy can stay in hotels for all I care it is just a TV show, he's done his time in the field anybody that has been in military knows what I mean....heck why wouldn't you want to stay in a hotel. :)

I agree making it through the SAS program is nothing to scoff at.

An adviser for Man vs Wild has admitted he stays at lodges during filming's. Also claiming to be on a deserted island, When it was an island in Hawaii that had been used in a lot of Hollywood films. Also claimed to be taming and riding wild horses when you could see they had horse shoes on and freshly brushed coats.

But I'm sure is a decent knife. But you are paying for the Bear name.

It's a $500 steak knife for Bear's filet mignon dinners when he's at the Holiday Inn.

Sadly, I have no idea what you mean...

I believe he probably means that Bear has served his country well and has done things that 95% of the population could never accomplish, who are we to begrudge him a little luxury.

It's not that I begrudge him anything, but the problem is that he was claiming to be sleeping out in the elements and surviving all on his own without assistance. When it came to light that he was being deceptive about staying in hotels overnight they actually redid the narration of several of the shows.

Watch the one about the Scottish highlands. I doubt if you can find the 'pre-ban' version, but in the recut one he says something like "the crew provided this rabbit for me to demonstrate how to..." when in the original version he made us believe he had snared it himself. Same thing on the Iceland episode when the revised version admitted that a farmer had left the sheep carcass out for him to 'discover'.

Don't claim to be doing something if you're not. A little honesty is all I ask.
