Manix 1 vs Manix 2

Thanks all!

Purchased a NIB Manix with partially serrated blade today.

My Chinook now has a brother to play with, and to give her every other day off from my pocket.

Beautiful, beautiful knife.....

Just asking, why'd you like the thicker blade? Beefier? I love the Mili's blade of the same thickness but I always wish it were slightly thinner.
 
I didn't like the original mini manix. Didn't seem like the blade was long enough for how beefy they were making the knife.

I prefer the Manix 2 but I have the S90V version with FFG, carbon fiber and the cutout liners so it doesn't weigh that much and makes a great EDC.

Original is a MONSTER, off the top of my head Id say it and the Chinook are 2 of the beefiest spyders ever.

My personal Favorite and one folder I WILL NEVER PART WITH, is the S90V manix 2. For users, I prefer back locks, but I REALLY enjoy the lock and its placment on my M2. I can function that knife one handed VERY WELL. Besides for the open construction (whcih does not matter since I dont wail on my knives), its my dream knife. If I caried either the original manix or min, I could tell, the new one not so much, granted mine has a fg and CF. HAvnt compared it to the G10 one yet. You can get the G10 one for nearly $200 less, Best valued regular production knife out there imo. And its made in the usa, sweet.

I agree with you. I have a CF S90V too and had 4 of the originals. I also have a standard M2 and the CF M2 is a magnificent EDC!

I'm on the list for 2 Blue S30V's and 2 FG CTS-XHP's too. Looking forward to trying those out. The Blue S30V is confirmed to have the skeletonized liners based on info from SHOT too. I can't imgaine the FG CTS-XHP's not having them too.
