Manix 2 in G10 and M390 vs PM2 in S45VN

Manix2 in M390(or 20CV). All around one of the BEST knives out there.
Especially if use is for yard work.

Ended up buying the Manix 2 in M390 because of this thread. It's just a hair off center and there's a small part of the scale that protrudes over the liner, but otherwise it's nearly perfect. It's sharp, the action is smooth, and I like that on these "premium" models they mill the liners. My standard S30V one doesn't have milled liners and it's noticeably heavier.

If they ever do a sprint or update that goes the full 'premium bruiser' route, I'll snag one. Maybe even nested micarta liners

Yes and yes! I'd love to see a nested Ti liner and hardware Manix (3.0?) with a CPM-MagnaCut blade, both a FFG and a classic Spyderco hollow-saber grind version. Getting rid of the large lanyard hole and replacing it with a hidden spine lanyard attachment point and full backspacer would just be icing on the cake!

One of us... one of us! Nice score!

I love the manix 2 however, it sounds like you already have that itch scratched with the LW with BD1N. If you really love that knife, the one in G-10 is going to feel sturdier, and hold an edge much longer in M390. If you are happy with the performance of the LW than get the PM2. Everyone needs one in their collection and the price sounds right if just over 150 (hell, most of the S30v old models were sitting at like 145 just a week ago when i was pricing things...)

I bought the Manix, too! Thanks guys. Definitely a LOT lighter than I expected it to be, and also a bit off-center but otherwise perfect. Can't wait to put it to work.

OP, one of us... one of us!

Now, just gotta take that edge down couple degrees from factory and put it to use.

Uhhh first use was EXCELLENT. First bite, not so much (but a very clean cut!) Damn thing opened in pocket. Tip up probz. I'll choose to believe it was bc the lanyard got in between the blade and the scales, and not bc i loosened the pivot a quarter turn ...

I have2 Manix2 in S90V the Burl sprint run and the have full steel liners. I think they made the liners thinner. I don't feel much difference in weight from the other 8 I have with milled liners.
