it's like Christmas, my dealer won't have the FRN Stretch and drop point UKPK in until the first of August. Waaaa :p

And now I want one... thanks.

How does it ride in the pocket? As I've said many times, I can't stand knives with deep carry pocket clips and I would like to see the clip below the lanyard hole on this knife, but I don't think it would be too hard to tap for a new screw placement.

Got mine today and wow! Awesome knife! Without knocking other, more pricey knives out there, this fits my description of a hard-use knife just about perfectly. Why? In a word, price. Here's a knife that has all the qualities of a heavy-duty knife that is within the range of the average user to use and use hard. The main reason I got rid of my Striders was due to the amount of money tied into a knife I knew I'd be afraid to use without concern of loss or breakage. Yes, I know the warranty is amazing, but I know where my real-world limits are and $300-$400 is well above my comfort zone. Mine will be my duty knife at the firehouse, but will likely see pocket time for outdoor activities as well. For the weight, it seems to carry very well and rides nice and low. It might be a bit of a pocket chewer, but hopefully, the G10 will smooth out a bit over time. It will take me some time to get used to it, as the largest, heaviest knife I've ever carried has been a SnG, but I'm sure looking forward to putting this one to work!
Amazing knife Eric and Spyderco:thumbup:

Just got my manix 2 today, very impressed with this knife. So far its my second spyderco, bought a lava last week. The manix is very well built, very sturdy knife. I've owned a bunch of cold steel knives, cheap good knives, but nothing compared to these two so far. For around the price of a large cs voyager your getting twice the knife. The only concern is the plastic piece on the ball lock. Hope it holds up.

Looks like a great knife, love Spyderco's 154cm, may have to pick it up.

How is the weight on the Manix2? I see it listed as 5 oz. Rather beefy, is it an issue?

Great video - very comprehensive

I know the Manix2 is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, but how thick is it? Could you snap a shot or 2 next to some other well known knives?

Looks like a bargain at $80 street price. Hope they come out with a FFG S90V later on. :)

I got mine today. For now, until I use it more, I take back all my concerns about the "new fangled Manix" earlier on. There are some elements about this knife that I like much more than the old iterations. I think the new Manix 2 is a great knife in it's own right and more use will certainly help me find more likes or disslikes. Right now I say this is an awesome knife and is apt to turn the mid priced medium/heavy duty EDC market upside down. This could possibly be the one of best larger EDC value going right now.

All I need to see is how well it hold up. Nice knife! And for $80 bucks give or take, wow!

I enjoyed your review. Just got the new Lum and Sage... looks like I'll be placing another order soon for a Manix 2.
