Manix 2 lightweight aftermarket scales?

You can get a ball bearing one size up and fix that issue.

Where are these available because I'm using the spyderco ceramic 3/16" bearing.

AWT has LW manix scales up on their site.

It should be noted that the AWT is not for the older pinned version but only the present version of the FRCP Manix with screws.

The Magnacut blade with titanium BB cage doesn't fit the G-10 version.Engagement is 100% and has slightest amount of blade play.

Here's the original polymer BB cage at almost 90-95% engagement.....No Blade Play but almost 100%

Where did you get the titanium BB cage from? I just got the MagnaCut Manix 2 LW and I’m trying to track down a BB cage replacement. Flytanium has some cool ones but they say on the website it’s not for the LW version. Appreciate the help!

Just got a new Manix 2 in Magnacut. Been awhile since I’ve had a lightweight, but I see now they have screws instead of pins. Anyone know of anyone out there making aftermarket scales that can be swapped onto the lightweight Manix? G10 is my preference, but I’d be fine with Ti or aluminum too.

Just got a Manix 2 LW and was about to return it untillll….I found Original Goat has a pre-order for them…IF…it’s a screw version, not pins. Same with ATW. Good luck!

There is a seller on Etsy who makes a "Compensated Lock Backspacer" that allows LW blades to work in scales made for regular Manix 2s. I have one and it works.

After touring the country courtesy of USPS…the scales arrived! This is the 5 set of blemished I’ve purchased from AWT and by far the best, Can’t find a problem!

How is the fit and finish on those AWT scales? I’ve bought aftermarket scales before and after putting them on, saw that the blade wasn’t centered, action impeded or other fit/finish issues, so I just went back to stock.

I bought AWT seconds and even those have great fit and finish. Note however that I did need to take it apart after my first attempt to flip the ball cage over and to get the all the parts correctly seated. Some fit and finish issues can be cleared by a second more careful assembly.

So far I’ve bought 7 sets(2 new and 5 blemished) of AWT scales! Great fit and better ergos on all of them. Some I’ve had to adjust pivot screws to get blade movement to my liking, But never had an issue with centering! A couple of the knives the AWT scales made the action better then stock! Most of these knives I’ve also added new screws and stop pin with no issues.

Here is a Manix 2 LW Magnacut on some 'regular' scales. The secret is to go on Etsy and find the adapter!
I cut these down because the Manix 2 is long for my hand with the lock. The finish is just sandblasting to remove reflectivity.

The adapter works well and makes the whole world of aftermarket scales available to the LW models.
