Just bought my 3rd and I'm wondering if anyone else has the same feelings towards this knife ?

I don't know if it's the prefect EDC, but it certainly is a great knife...one of my favorites. IMO a better knife than the beloved PM2. I'm glad to see additional steel choices available with the lightweight models. Hopefully we'll see more G10 sprint versions in the future.

It may be perfect for you. And that's what counts.

I like the Manix2 a lot. I have a few. It's a little wide in the pocket but not enough to turn me off.

The Military is closer to "perfect" for me.

The manix 2 holds a special place for me as it was my first knife out of the sub20-30$ budget folder. But i would call it my favorite. It tends to chew on my wallet.

Too wide in the pocket for me, but if I had a time machine I'd have never gotten a PM2. IMO, the Manix beats it every time. Haven't held an FRN Manix, but I can imagine it's great as well. I'm a Delica guy at heart.

one of my favorite spydies, i have 4 now, my first manix LW and it truly is light.

The Manix performs pretty well in hand but it's way too wide in the pocket for me. The Ball Bearing lock is decent but plays second fiddle to the Axis Lock for that type of mechanism. Leaf shaped blades are fairly utilitarian but also a little delicate in the tip. It's a good knife but a few things keep it from being considered a "perfect EDC" for my purposes. The Manix series certainly has it's devoted fans and that's what makes knife diversity so awesome.

its a great knife but not the perfect edc. its too large and heavy to be the perfect edc (lightweight version fixes weight issue but not size issue).

It's pretty darn closer to it. I carried one almost every day for at least 2 years. The only reason I stopped was because I quit the job I was working at the time and no longer needed a 1 hand opening knife. Now I mainly carry traditionals which I find more aesthetically pleasing.

Add a flipper and it would be perfect.

I have a sprint run, the foliage green g-10 CTS-XHP version. It has ironwood scales by Sketchen. Absolutely love it, but not my favorite overall. For my hands, it is the most ergonomic knife out there. I've had mine for three years and it's still razor sharp. Love XHP..

This is almost my exact feeling. The only difference being that I have a hang-up about FRN and other plastic-y handle materials. My brain says "an effective and modern material" but my heart says "feels and looks cheap."

I agree that the Manix is a good knive but since purchasing my orange light weight and carrying it for a week, I find it bigger than I am comfortable with. It is wide in the pocket. I have been using my orange Delica for quite a while and like the size and shape as well as the light weight. The Delica beat out the orange Endura due to its more accommodating size. When I purchased my Ritter Grip and put orange scales on it I though that I had replaced the Delica, wrong.

So the Manix is in some good company for getting beat out by the handy little Delica.

I have a couple of lightweight versions of the Manix 2 and a g10 version. I prefer the lightweight versions. A very fine edc.
I still prefer my Paramilitay 2 as the best overall edc on the market. Wonder if a lightweight PM2 is possible.

It's definitely one of my favorites. I just counted and apparently I have 9 now!?! Yikes. I often say there is no logical reason why I need any knives other than the S110v LW, which is a near perfect cutting tool.

I like it for EDC but I prefer the PM2 for EDC, the PM2 I would call perfect. Comparing a PM2 with a G10 Manix 2 I characterize the PM2 as a perfect EDC and the G10 Manix 2 as the perfect work knife. The LW Manix 2 might be better for EDC because of the weight isuse but I prefer G10 as a slightly classier knife.

No photos but I'm carrying my brand new Orange Manix 2 this week.

I also like to carry the Manix 2 XL version but it really is big in the pocket.

Latest photo I have, missing the new orange model:

Not me...the XL is huge and is the only manix I currently own. But always nice to see people with a bunch of the same model. Makes me feel good about my dragonfly collection :-)
Get that maximent if you dont have it yet!
