My brand new manix 2 g10 s110v has already developed some blade play so I took the washers out and polished them....well the problem got worse so now I need new washers so does anyone know what the size and thickness of them are? Any suggestions on new washers like replacing them with nylon ones?

You might want to jump over to the Spyderco forum with your question.
Two other thoughts :
Maybe call Spyderco in Golden, Co and ask them about the size or to get some washers.
Or send the knife to them for washer installation.

I already called and they said they couldn't give me the dimensions of any internal parts to prevent people from easily manufacturing fakes

Take it apart again and measure them or bring them with you into a hardware store. Spyderco doesn't seem to like people taking apart their knives.

If fakes could easily be made, the washers must be easy to find

what the size and thickness of them are

Here is perhaps an easy(ish) way to tell what thickness the washers you have are then go a touch thicker for the replacements :
Get a feeler gauge ; cheep ~$7.

https://www.amazon.com/ABN-Universa...8&qid=1502930927&sr=8-5&keywords=feeler+gauge

Lay a washer on a hard flat surface.
Unfold the thin blades of the gauge and just feel with your finger tip until you find one that is about the same thickness.
Then by adding one or two of the very thinest blades to the first one in a stack and feeling you can figure out the thickness by just adding up the thickness of the blades.
For example .009" + .002 +.0015" = .0125" (one hundred and twenty five ten thousandths).

Or get all tool guy and buy a micrometer or caliper.

You probably voided the warranty by taking it apart
So do you think they even sell washers that small at a hardware store?
I was thinking of a really big hardware store, or a harbor freight, or Amazon even.

I had a helluva time trying to figure out the washer size for my Domino when I realized they were missing. Absolutely no information out there on the Internet for that particular model at least, and since they were missing I couldn't even measure them.

The washer measurements on the Manix should(maybe) be easier to find out. I eventually gave up and sent it to Spyderco to fix(which they did wonderfully).

Or Grangers Supply.
You can mail order.
If you show up at their brick and mortar they used to get all bent if you don't have a tax number.
And at the brick and mortar you might have to buy a box of washers ^$.

In case this is a trick I'll double check if ou don't mind

Here's a quote
Concurrent with our change to medium-strength Loctite, we are also amending our warranty policy, which has unfortunately been misunderstood as it applies to this topic and the disassembly of our knives in general. Currently, our policy states “Spyderco’s warranty does not cover damage caused by abuse, misuse, loss, improper handling, alterations, accident, neglect, disassembly, or improper sharpening.” Please note that it specifies “…damage caused by…disassembly.” This aspect of our warranty has been widely misinterpreted to infer that disassembly of a Spyderco knife automatically voids its warranty. This is not the case.

Here's a link to the statement which is quite lengthy.

Cool, maybe I'll take mine apart and measure them myself! In case this is a trick I'll double check if ou don't mind
Not a trick. Spyderco did away with that a while ago. It is always a good idea to confirm what the current warranty is before modifying a knife or recommending anything to do with said warranty.

Removing metal from washers, blade, or scales/liners is generally a bad idea in adjusting action, blade play, or lock up on a knife. You can't put it back, so if you don't know exactly what you are doing it is very easy to screw up.

Try exhausting tweaking the pivot with tiny adjustments before doing anything else. Then send it in if the problem is not resolved. Don't remove metal!

For the Op, at this point send it in or take the plunge into ordering various different size washers and trial and error with it. I've done that when replacing nylon washers on old knives. The various knife supply dealers are where you can find them online. They are inexpensive. Google is your friend. I won't provide links to non paying dealers.

yeah I sanded the washers with 2000 grit sandpaper trying to polish them and I think thats what devolved the play

I've hardly carried mine once I found the xl version, and the full size military. I'm curious how it first developed the blade play? Was it you edc for the year or so since it came out?

I see you said brand new, how long have you owned it?
