Manix 2 s110v won't close

Sounds like some sort of gunk got in your lock mechanism ? You may want to flush it out with something like Break Free and an air compressor several times .

Could it be loading the thing up with dawn soap had an effect on it? First the soap with completely strip any lubrication. If any soap is left behind it will dry and gunk up. Have you ever see top of and old dawn bottle with all the gunky residue build up? I would soak it in hot water then lube it up with a gun oil. But since it seems like the damage is done send it to Spyderco for repair. Maybe next time skip the dawn.

It takes some scrubbing and sometimes a few reapplications to really strip oils and grease away though, just putting it on topically and rinsing will have practically no effect.

That is a bummer it started acting weird again.
Your best bet would be to send it in.

The Manix is one of my most carried knives and the lock is great.
It can be stiff initially but my LW S110V smoothed out nicely.

The SB Delica should console you till the Manix is fixed.
Yeah really sad. Although it seems it only does it when in contact with water but still strange. Pretty sure the sb Delica will help the pain of it being gone.

Yeah you know i thought about that and of course I could see making it a little stiff but at the same time Not enough to totally lock it up unless some gunk did get in there to block it. I've always used dawn on the knife to clean it up without Ill effect until now.
