Your welcome!
I'm sure you'll love it when it shows:thumbup:

I here you on the wishing the dang thing would get here comment! I've never handled a Manix and have an org Manix 80mm that should arrive today.

I think I'll really like it since it has a huge choil like the Sage, and also a low thumb ramp like on the Sage. I have a really long thumb and the Smaller/Med Spydercos with the tall hump doesn't work so well for me.

Hey Ken,
What about the wire clip? Like, dislike, jury still out? Everybody else chime in. This will be the first wire clip for me, except for a spydie HK version I bought but never carried. At least I won't have to strip and sandpaper/polish it.....

Not a big fan of clips, but the only good thing I can say about the wire ones is that they do come off. :o Have yet to see one that can be set up for tip down carry and, if I am going to use a clip, that's how I want my knife to ride. Plus they're too flexible, side to side, for me. I much prefer a 3 screw clip and a knife that's set up for 4 way clip mounting.

Red, this and the Caly3 were the first knives I have owned with a wire clip.
I never carried the Caly but have had this one about two months and carried almost everyday. So far I prefer it over any clip for EDC as it rides low and is easy to slide in pocket, even in light shorts, and I have had no problem with it moving around at all. It may not hold as strong as a reg clip, but I'll never know since I don't plan on doing any flips or tumbling(I hope).
Love the clip, and like you said, I didn't have to strip it either:thumbup:

BTW- I much prefer tip up, so love the clip placement and like the fact theres not alot of empty holes in the handle.

I have tried to carry clip up and down also open with both hands so placement is not really a big issue with me. But what I don't like is a clip that either doesn't hold securely or one that you need the jaws of life to remove it from you pocket. Low riders are ok, but not my favorite. I usually carry my work folder in right hand pocket, backup in left hand. Firearm is usually on right hip,(unless I pocket carry a smaller firearm) so I really have gotten used to deploying a knife with either hand. Came in handy when I broke my right hand twice last year. I know thats kinda off the subject.
I guess I worry about tweaking or bending the wire clips. Never know what is gonna try to snag one out of your pocket.

I recently picked up a Sage II and am very satisfied. Everything about this knife is great! The blade shape, S30V, nice Ti frame, wire clip, Spyderco's excellent jimping, flow-through piller design, tip-up, simple design. It really is perfect. Great choice.

The wire clip on my Sage 2 slid around on the handle too much out of the box. I used the appropriate sized Torx to snug up the clip screw, found it tightened up another 1/8th of a turn. Clip stays put now.

Agreed, with all the comments here, it's an excellent knife! I like mine as much as any of my Sebbies especially at half the price and would recommend it to anyone looking for a medium sized Ti framelock for EDC.

and if anyone doesn't like his Sage 2, just send it to me....I've been posting WTBs for weeks now, hoping for a good deal from someone who just doesn't click with his Sage 2. I love it!

I am still waiting to receive all four knives that I ordered. (Manix2, Sage II, CF Kopa, DC Lava). Sage and Kopa are in stock but they are still waiting on Manix 2 and Lava. The Lava I kinda understand, but are they behind on Manix production or is everyone making a run on them? I have seen them in the for sale posts and was under the impression that they had been out for sometime. Not a matter of need them, just wondering .
ok...who am I kidding...I need them bad. I think I am going through DT's. Need my knife fix....

Spyderco is a relatively small company, right now there are a dozen or so different models some with multiple variants, plus "special runs" like the CF/S90V Manix 2 and the Forum Native, produced in Golden. That requires batch production and scheduling. The Manix 2 probably just sold better that Spyderco anticipated when they made the first batch of them. I believe Sal said the next batch will be available soon, but you might want to check recent posts by him, here and on the Spyderco Factory Forum.

MySage 2 finally arrived! Very impressed with this blade. Fit and finish is great. I really like the look and feel of this knife. Even after seeing the comparision photos with a small Seb, I was suprised by the size and solid feel of this knife. I'm still undecided on the wire clip though. Gonna carry it today and see what I think.
The Manix is still on backorder. I was told they have been on backorder since early July, so I don't expect it anytime soon.
As a side note, I also received a CF Kopa and a discontinued Lava. Really impressed by the Kopa. Very classy looking knife. Even my wife said she thought it was a good looking knife. (She usually says they all look the same.) The Lava looks to be a handy little cutter also. These 3 will go into my rotation and I will post more after I put them to use.
If anyone knows when the Manix will be available again, I would be Thankful for a heads up.
