There have been a few threads on the blurple Manix 2 in 110V, but nothing for a couple months. Any intel on the frame, skeletonized or not?

Almost positively, no. Weight spec is listed at 5 oz., exactly what my G-10 S30V weighs. My Cruwear tips the scale at 4.25 oz. with skeletonized liners. Historically, regular productions get solid liners, and sprints get skeletonized. The Blurple/S110V is to be a regular production.

And it is for those reasons stated that I will not be purchasing one of these.

Come on, guys. As blades&wrenches stated, the difference between sprint and standard Manix weights is .75 oz.

Is that really a deal breaker for some of you??

I for one, will be picking one of these beauties up. S110V and different colored scales are enough to sell me on this one ;)

I actually prefer a little heft on my knives. Some knives can feel too light to my tastes. (I'm looking at you pm2)

Exactly what this gentleman said. Well said by the way. :)

Yeah, I wouldn't let .75 ounces deter me from buying a knife. The Manix is a bit of a pocket hog anyway so how light do we expect it to be? I would caution people to not to get too hung up on the specs but in the online world that seems all too common. I doubt you could tell the difference in the pocket unless wearing loose fitting lightweight clothes. The Manix2 does not have skeletonized or nested liners for a reason and that is to keep costs down. This S110V Manix2 is gonna set the bar pretty high as far as pricing goes and I believe that is the point.

Isn't FRN a little squishy? The FRN model also lacks liners? My only gripe with the standard Manix 2 is that it is a little unnecessarily heavy. Mine comes in at 138 g (~4.87 oz) and I can definitely tell the difference in hand and pocket between it and something like the Cold Steel American Lawman (~3.95 oz) which also fills the same role as the Manix as a rugged hard use edc folder. I would also add that it lacks punched liners because having them could cannibalize Paramilitary 2 sales :)

I want a blurple S110V Manix 2 with skeletonized liners because it's cool. That it's ¾ of an ounce lighter is nice too, but mostly it's a second kind of cool thing.

Frn is quite rigid. No squishy

The M2 LW is FRCP. But yes, it does have a little bit of compliance to it, but nothing major and it also has small liners inside that extend from the pivot to the lock area.

Well, it appears the original listed weight spec was off. According to GPK and some users on the Spyderco forum, the Blurple S110V Manix indeed has skeletonized liners! GP lists weight as 4.15 oz.
