manix 2 too hard to close

I just got mine two days ago. It's a G-10 version. It was pretty stiff when I got it. I took it apart, cleaned it up, and lubed it with Hoppe's #9 (ususally for firearms). Now the blade glides back and forth and falls when the lock is disengaged. Zero blade play, too. Just clean it up and lube it up. Should be good to go.

I also lubed mine up. Very small adjustments to the pivot and frame bolts make a big difference.
 
I'm hesitant to take my knife apart at the moment as it will void the warranty. But I may eventually resort to dissembling it...

I really need to acquire a torx set and oil (Nano?) , so that I may try adjusting the pivot. I've been really occupied with a brutal residential move lately...
 
I took mine apart the first day. I believe they say it voids the warranty so you don't send them back a bag of screws and ask for it to be fixed under warranty. Otherwise they've been good with me about replacing clips and pivots and such.
