i'm contemplating on getting a manix but these have been DC. available are only manix 2. is the Manix 2 still a good buy or should I forget it?

The manix 2 is pretty amazing. the sprint run variants are very much worth it if you can find them. i own a blue manix 2.

I love my Manix 2. I was a bit skeptical when I first got it because the lock was pretty stiff. It's broken in nicely. It's really smooth. It's cool that the ball bearing lock puts a little preload on the blade to keep it closed when in your pocket, but it still flicks open really easy.

I currently own a full size original Manix and have had a Manix II on a passaround. The original is my preference, mostly due to the lock. I like the lock back, I have some problems with the ball lock. I find the ball lock hard to open and very difficult to close one handed. Although I paid twice as much for the Manix, I still prefer it and am looking for a small original version to make the set.

doubt that. the thickness reduction came mostly from the scales and the bb lock is stout as they come.

One-handed with the Manix 2 takes some getting used to. It opens and shuts really smooth once you get the hang of it.

Perfect EDC knife in my opinion! I would definitely recommend picking one up!!

The Manix 2 will pretty much take anything you can throw at it. If your able to purchase the s30v version it is much lighter than the standard manix 2. Both are amazing!!

yes but i'm going to use this one as a beater. the s30v is quite out of budget but it would have been nice to get it with the blue scales maybe i can save up for it for later.

The Manix 2 is a good knife, but it ain't no Manix.

Kind of like the BM Presidio "Ultra". Compared to the Presidio there is nothing "Ultra" about it.

The origional Manix was a tank. The Manix 2 is more of a Humvee.
