Manix 2 vs PM2

Small fixed blade is stronger I'd take that in the woods. Between the two I'd take the Manix out camping/hunting only because of the slightly stronger tip.

My PM2 definitely has a stronger tip than my Manix 2, but the Manix has a hollow grind. Are the flat ground Manix 2 tips thicker?

I have both and the FFG is definitely thicker on mine, i've used it for light prying and no damage has been done

This is one of the reasons I've been hesitant to get a Manix. What happens when that spring gets filled with mud and sand?
If there's a way for mud & sand to get in then there also must be a way for water to rinse it out...right? (just thinking out loud)

As for the sand and mud getting in the Manix lock, I tested it out and got it muddy and a little sandy...all I did was run it under water and repeatedly opened and closed the blade, it all rinsed out after a while. Getting the locked gunked up didn't really affect the lock-up as much, but I would steer clear from sand if you have a Manix to due the abrasion it would cause
