Manix 2 with backlock coming March-April

I like it, no liners especially, hope its lighter because of that

Looks like a winner. The original Manix is a classic. I'm in. Don't care if it is heavy.

There's always got to be one in the crowd, backlocks are my least favorite design. Now a Manix with a compression lock...

I'm in! The only thing I don't like about the Manix is the lock. It functions fine, but it's hell on my carpal tunnel.

I hope they bring it back with liners too, resurrect the manix!!!!

That's the only wrinkle for me right now. I like the solid heft of liners, and having the weight towards the handle. Maybe the thicker handle on this one will give it the right feel without liners. I find handles are generally too skinny for the sake of being nice in the pocket, at the expense of being nice in the hand.

I wonder what they'll do about all the liner jimping that's on the current knife?

I was cool to the compression lock at first, but I'd love a Manix2 with one. Turn the Manix into the big brother of the Sage series: a different lock for all tastes.

Is "crazy straining stiff" the new normal for Spyderco lockbacks? The Native G10 is the only recent one I've got. My older ones are all easy, and have never even thought about accidentally closing. I finally gave in and tweaked the lock spring on the Native, but I wonder if this is just something to be expected these days.

I am excited for this knife. A lot of us have been asking for it to be made. I am glad Spyderco listens to us. I am surprised that none of the knife sellers have this one listed for pre-order.

I hope the XL gets the same treatment. Though I would love to see the Powerlock with it, since there's a bit more room to work with.

My poor wallet.
Loved the Gen 1 Manix with the Backlock, locked like a bank vault. Loved the Mini Manix, same reason.

Then the Manix 2 came out, with all the jimping, and a new lock.i was hesitant at first, and then got into it, trying out a LW and then a g-10 and then the Manix2 XL. (The XL is the exact same size as he original large Gen 1)

The CBB lock is a new fave, the XL is an EDC, and then they announce that the Backlock...is back?

My poor wallet.

I like the idea of full liners as well. And I'd be on board for contoured micarta scales as well.

I bought a cruwear manix with CF scales, and while it's very nice, it feels a little blade heavy and kinda skinny in hand. I think I'd prefer something a bit heftier.

Wow, Manix2 backlock...that really came out of left field. How often do we hear, I'd love X model if only it had Y lock, etc. I never would have guessed they'd do this. Very interesting. Might have to get one.
