Very nice, but I'm not big on back locks. Don't mind them, have a few, but far prefer the ball lock on my Manix 2 and Manix 2 XL.
Still, I might consider a back lock XL (favorite Manix) if they make one, different enough sans liner, and thicker G10 and blade.
Clearly there are people wanting this though and good on Spyderco for doing it.

I'd be even more interested in the XL with a backlock. I never bought the XL because it can be harder to manipulate the ball lock on a longer handle.

I'm in! The only thing I don't like about the Manix is the lock. It functions fine, but it's hell on my carpal tunnel.

And this is why I like Spyderco so much. The ball-bearing lock is great for me and I don't care for backlocks; then I realize they work great for others....glad Spyderco is making sure both groups of customers are taken care of.
