Manix 2 XL has arrived!!

I just got a Manix XL off the exchange and I gotta say this knife is awesome.
Perfect geometry and feel plus S30V is a very good steel IMO.
Also it is made in the USA which means if problems arise in the future getting it fixed should be less of a problem.

I am really liking this lock system so far and hope that, even though it is plastic, it proves to be reliable for many years to come.

Another winner from Spyderco and I hope to try out the regular size version in the near future.
 
So far the only cons are:

1- The grind is uneven on the blade. I'm not much of a knife guy so i don't know if that affects performance or not...it is a little annoying aesthetically

2- The jimping on the blade itself is not as, not sure of the right word, grippy as my Rescue and Delica.

Really enjoying the blade and it scares my kids when i flick it out and pretend im going to cut them ;) They love to hold it and they really want to cut paper with it like daddy was doing heehee
 
I have the Manix 2 Dealer Exclusive in M4, it is great, but a bit too small for my tastes. I pre-ordered a Manix2 XL in CF S90V. I'm way excited for this one. I EDC a Millie in one flavor or another, soooo, we will see if this Manix2 XL moves my beloved Millie out of my pocket. :-) It may have a shot.
 
Picked up the DLC XL about a month ago.Really liking it,not too big.At 5.1 oz not too heavy or too light.Still liking the regular Manix 2 though.
