I just got my Manix today (friday 5-2-08) in the mail from a forum member and it's awsome. It is combo edge and badass.
The handle is great, almost like an Emerson (sal forgive me
) with the blade of an enlarged caly 3. The tip is thicker than my Military and doesn't seem as fragile. Tough knife, and the finger choil is great for small up close tasks.
I don't mind the weight at all. I'd rather have a tough, beefy knife than a lighter, fragile one. It still takes up less pocket space than my D'allara, and it has a blade as sharp as the Millie. The blade on this is thicker than the military hands down. The tip on the Manix is about as thick as the part of the Millie 3/4 - 1" before the tip.
Excellent knife and I always love Spyderco's lockbacks. Strong, simple, and ambidextrous. Great knife and it will definitely take the place of my Millie and D'allara.
Let me know what you guys think, J.
