Manly looking "camera bag"?

I just purchased a Maxpedition Fatboy in their new Dark Blue (NOT the royal blue). It's about as sheeple friendly as you can get. It literally looks like a camera bag I bought at walmart. I get serious looks when toating my OD Green Maxpedition Vulture II or OD Green Mongo Versapack. But OD is my favorite... people just associate it with military so they assume I got a damn machine gun in the thing.

Great tip. I didn't know Maxpedition had a new color out.
But then I sort of enjoy hiking with my woodland camo Pygmy Falcon. Makes me stand out from the REI and Patagonia crowd. :p

With today's point and shoots you can get away with a couple of different things. Look at GPS and work phone sheaths, grenade pouches, that kind of thing. Mountainsmith's Exposure II series is just a bangup line and are real reasonable as far as pricing goes, as well. I have an Aurora II camera lumbar bag/manpurse for bigger cameras, and it too is built to take a nuke. Mountainsmith makes great bags for real no BS outdoor photography. Also check out the Field Pack from Duluth Trading Co.

I use a Jumbo Versipack for my DSLR.

Main compartment holds my camera with up to a 55-200 on it. The side water bottle pocket holds an extra lens perfectly and all the other pockets are great.

You mention just a point and shoot, but check out now that the Versipacks (many models) come in a few primary colors. Still very durable but looks a lot less tactical.
